PGPD Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Adelphi


The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Adelphi Thursday night. The victim is 40-year-old Serge Deumeni of Gerrards Hope Drive in Bowie. The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was struck by two vehicles. The driver of the first car remained on the scene. The driver of the second car did not stay on the scene. Investigators are working to identify the second driver. 
 
On November 23rd, at about 7:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road for the report of a pedestrian collision. The victim was found deceased in the roadway.  
 
The preliminary investigation reveals Deumeni attempted to cross New Hampshire Avenue when he was struck by the first car. The second car then struck the victim.

Detectives Investigate Homicide in Town of Forest Heights

Prince George’s County Police Department Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in the town of Forest Heights Thursday. The victim is 20-year-old Aaron Taylor of Chloe Drive in Oxon Hill. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On November 23rd, at about 6:00 am, patrol officers responded to the 100 block of Cree Drive for the report of a suspicious car parked in the area. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim inside of a car suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are actively working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.

WANTED WEDNESDAY

Theft at Liquor Store

We’re starting Wanted Wednesday with a theft case in College Park. Our investigation reveals the pictured suspect stole several bottles of liquor from a store in the 8000 block of Baltimore Avenue. This theft occurred on November 12th. Please call 301-699-2601 with any information on this case.


Robbery Investigation
We’re also asking for our community’s assistance in identifying three suspects wanted in a robbery in Landover on November 8th. In this case, the suspects approached the victim on 75th Avenue and assaulted him causing minor injuries.  They then took the victim’s property before fleeing the area. Anyone who recognizes the suspects in these photos is urged to call 301-772-4425 or 1-866-411-TIPS. A cash reward is available.


Restaurant Theft
 
We’re also searching for this suspect who snatched a purse at a restaurant in Langley Park. This occurred on November 11th at the business in the 7000 block of Riggs Road. Please call 301-699-2601 with any information on this theft.

Detectives Investigate Homicide in City of District Heights

Detectives are investigating a homicide in the city of District Heights Tuesday night. The victim is 23-year-old Rondell Foo of District Heights Parkway in District Heights.

On November 21st, at about 9:20 pm, patrol officers with the District Heights Police Department responded to the 6300 block of Sunvalley Terrace for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
