Police Athletic League and WSSC to Host Community Service Project at Rocky Gorge Reservoir

Prince George’s County, Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Community Services Division’s Police Athletic League (P.A.L), in partnership with the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), will be hosting a community service beautification project at the Rocky Gorge Reservoir in Laurel, Maryland, on Monday, October 31st. The project is part of the Community Services Division’s way of continually providing a positive and safe environment for youth and teens while schools will be closed for the day.

Registered participants are asked to meet at the Prince George’s County Police Services Complex in the multi-purpose room at 9:00 a.m. as transportation will be provided to and from the project site. Afterwards, participants will complete the day with an ice skating session at the Bowie Ice Rink. Those in attendance will have a chance to earn five (5) service learning hours (community service hours) upon completion of the project.
