The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Suitland. The deceased is identified as 45-year-old Donald Pray of the 900 block of Mentor Avenue in Capitol Heights.

On August 5, 2013, at approximately 1:00 am, patrol officers were called to Suitland Road at Suitland Parkway for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, patrol officers found Pray suffering from critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The preliminary investigation reveals Pray had been driving on Suitland Road when he and a passenger got into an argument.  For an unknown reason, Pray stopped his car, got out and laid down in the roadway.  He was then hit by a car.  Preliminarily, it appears Pray had been drinking alcohol before the collision.
