PGPD Releases Photos of Suspect and Vehicle Connected to Armed Robberies


The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect seen in the above surveillance photograph.  He is wanted for the armed robbery of the Glut Food Co-Op in the 4000 block of 34th Street in Mount Rainier.

The preliminary investigation reveals on August 15, 2013, at about 12:30 pm, the suspect entered the store posing as a customer.  Upon reaching the counter, the suspect revealed a handgun in his waistband and demanded money from the employee.  After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect may have driven away in a silver Lexus.  There were no reported injuries.

Detectives believe this suspect is connected with additional armed robberies from across the region.  In a previous robbery on August 8, 2013, the suspect robbed a U.S. Post Office in Hyattsville. The suspect was seen driving away in the below-pictured vehicle.
