PGPD Seeks Information in Fatal Pedestrian Hit and Run in Clinton

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit and run in Clinton.  The victim is identified as 27-year-old Eric Derron Bridgett of the 5800 block of Cloverleaf Avenue in Clinton.  Detectives would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision.

On August 31, 2013, at about 2:30 am, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Kirby Road and Marwood Drive for a welfare check.  Upon arrival, patrol officers found Bridgett lying on the side of the road.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation suggests Bridgett was trying to cross Kirby Road when he was hit.  He was not in a crosswalk.  The striking vehicle did not stop.
