PGPD to Provide Full Honors for Fallen Georgia Police Officer


DeKalb County (GA) Officer Ivorie Klusmann

The Prince George’s County Police Department will be assisting the DeKalb County (GA) Police Department, with the burial of one of its officers who was killed in the line of duty.  On August 10, 2013, Officer Ivorie Klusmann was involved in a fatal single vehicle crash while responding to assist a fellow officer.

Officer Klusmann served with the DeKalb County Police Department for 10 months and was assigned to the East Precinct.  Officer Klusmann is survived by his two young children.  He is also a cousin of Prince George’s County Police Officer DeWayne Harris #3350, currently assigned to District I.

The funeral for Officer Klusmann was held on Friday in Georgia.  Officer Klusmann's body will be transported to Prince George’s County for burial on Monday, August 19.  The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Special Operations Division will provide full honors for this fallen hero.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:

Internment:  August 19, 2013, at 11:00 am, Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland
