PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision in Brandywine


The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal single-car collision in Brandywine.  The victim is identified as 42-year-old David Wayne Gordon, of the 2200 block of Pinefield Road in Waldorf.

On October 15, 2013, at about 12:45 am, patrol officers were called to the 15000 block of Brandywine Road for the report of a collision.  Upon arrival, patrol officers discovered a car off the roadway and into a tree.  Gordon was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation reveals the car was heading northbound on Brandywine Road.  For reasons which remain unclear, the driver crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a tree after leaving the roadway.
