Media Advisory: PGPD to Canvass Langley Park Community in Murder Investigation

Prince George’s County Police detectives will canvass a Langley Park community this evening to pass out Crime Solvers flyers in connection with the murder of a man early this morning.  Detectives hope to gain new information from neighbors.

Detectives will concentrate their efforts in the 8000 block of 15th Avenue where the victim was found lying in the street. On September 3, 2014, at about 4:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 8000 block of 15th Avenue for an unresponsive man in the street. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from trauma to the upper body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.
