PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision in Morningside

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Morningside. The victim is 62-year-old Lori Debra Wood-Knox of Morgan Road in Morningside.

On January 23, 2015, shortly after 6:30 am, officers with the Morningside Police Department and the Prince George’s County Police Department were called to the intersection of Allies Road and Randolph Road for the report of a collision. When the officers arrived, they found Wood-Knox suffering from critical injuries. She was pronounced dead on scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals Wood-Knox was on Allies Road, when for reasons which remain under investigation, her van left the roadway and struck a tree.
