PGPD Investigates Homicide in Fort Washington

Update: The victim is identified as 22-year-old Domanic Jamal Nelson of Harwood Road in District Heights. Anyone with information on this homicide is urged to call 1-866-411-TIPS.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Fort Washington. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act.

On July 31, 2015, at about 12:45 am, patrol officers were called to the 1000 block of Palmer Road for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.
