Detectives Investigate Homicide in Hyattsville

The Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting in Hyattsville. The victim is 20-year-old Jeremiah Marlon Dingle of Quincy Street in Hyattsville.  Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On June 24th, at about 7:30 pm, patrol officers were called to a local hospital for three shooting victims who had transported themselves to the hospital. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were shot in the intersection of 54th Avenue at Macbeth Street in the unincorporated area of Hyattsville. The other victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. Dingle died of injuries on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. 

Detectives are working to identify a motive and the suspect(s).
