Detectives Investigate Sexual Assault in New Carrollton

Updated September 12, 2016: Today at 5:00 pm, Prince George's County Police detectives will canvass a New Carrollton neighborhood to gather information in a sexual assault that occurred Sunday morning. 




Detectives are working to identify and arrest a man who sexually assaulted a woman this morning in New Carrollton. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect broke into the victim's apartment in the 5400 block of 85th Avenue around 7:00 am. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim and stole several items from her home before running out. 

The suspect is about 5'9" - 6'0" and 170 - 190 pounds. He wore a white and orange striped shirt, black pants and black shoes.
