Detectives are investigating
a fatal shooting in Suitland. The victim is 29-year-old Lafeal Sinclair of
Maryland Avenue in the District. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe
this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for
information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On March 7th, at about 2:10 pm, patrol officers responded to the 3900 block of Suitland Road for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered the victim outside in a parking lot suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Detectives are working to identify a
suspect(s) and motive in this case.
