Detectives with our Homicide Unit identified and arrested the suspect wanted for a September homicide in Temple Hills. The suspect is 25-year-old Anthony Stewart of the 1700 block of Lyman Place in Northeast, DC. He’s charged with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Ibrahim Kamara of Hannah Way in Upper Marlboro.

On September 27th, at about 12:40 am, patrol officers were called to the 4000 block of Rocky Mount Drive for a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim outside with a gunshot wound to his body. He died at the scene.

Preliminarily, detectives believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the suspect and victim who were acquaintances. Stewart is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
